THEME – “Economic development with environmental sustainability in mining areas


This International Conference has been concurrently planned as a forum of deliberating on the current issues and priorities of the mining sector organized by the Federation of Indian Mineral Industries (FIMI).

Forward and backward linkages among the mining industry, civil society and the Government apart from the challenges faced by the eco-system services etc. will form some of the sub-themes of the Conference.

The Conference would provide a great deal of information and knowledge on the state of the art mining technologies for environmental sustainability and scope of its applications in future.  It will be addressed by the experts from the Government and the mining industry.  The prima facie, the issues involved in making mining and processing operations sustainable to the environment and also certain problems in implementation of Forest Conservation Act and environmental laws would be focused.
